Comedian raises $16,000 at Laugh for Life Gala
Have you ever felt prompted to do something that might be inconvenient, uncomfortable or sometimes seemingly impossible?
If you heed Clare De Graaf's advice in his book, The 10 Second Rule, you should, "just do the next thing you're reasonably certain Jesus wants you to do. And, commit to it immediately – in the next 10 seconds – before you change your mind!"
How do any of us respond?
Each year, the Laugh for Life Gala raises funds for The Mustard Seed and Candeo Housing. This year's comedian, Michael Jr., shared with the audience how he was reading a book, The 10 Second Rule, and how he felt prompted to auction off one of his children's books.
To everyone's surprise, the bids reached $4,000 very quickly, and that night, Michael Jr. auctioned off four books for $4,000 each!
