Emergency Housing

The Mustard Seed Shelter provides a safe and warm refuge for those in need of emergency shelter. This program runs 365 days a year.

Guests are given a blanket and a mat and are able to:
  • Exchange socks for a clean pair (dependant on availability of socks and volunteers)
  • Pick out clean clothing
  • Receive a bag lunch
  • Receive a wake up call
  • Receive personal hygiene products
  • Store a limited amount of personal items
  • Take a shower
Process for people needing an emergency bed:

Potential guests are accepted on a first come, first served basis for emergency beds. Guests can go to The Mustard Seed Shelter throughout the day to have their name put on a wait list.

If the guest has stayed the previous night at the Shelter, their name is automatically placed on the list for the next night.

To keep our community safe for all, we ask that guests who stay with us are clean and sober.
