Our housing program helps guests transition from short-term shelter to long-term, independent housing. In this position, you will be providing support for guests and working intentionally to help them raise their asset levels using the Sustainable Livelihoods model.
- Intakes for guests coming into Step Up Housing
- Open to conversation and 1-on-1 time with our guests
- Provide written feedback on our guests' behavior, conversations and patterns
- Act as a Primary Support resource for a guest in housing. This includes: setting goals, keeping the guest accountable to the goals that are set, meeting with the assigned guest every week and keeping the guest's files up to date
- Open lockers for guests
- Unlock units and let guests into their rooms
- Help guests access their medication
- Housekeeping: cleaning laundry, bunks and rooms when necessary

- Training in NVCI, Suicide Intervention and First Aid/AED an asset
- Aware of personal boundaries and able to communicate them very clearly
- Comfortable talking and being with our guests
- Able to create an atmosphere which is safe and welcoming
- Excellent interpersonal skills (able to relate)
- Comfortable with administration work including documentation
- Good organizational skills

Applicants must be prepared to commit to one four-hour shift per week. Select one of the following shifts:
8:00 a.m. - noon, any day
12:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday
4:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday
9 p.m. - 9 a.m. any night of the week
