Kitchen Leader

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily kitchen duties
• Lead volunteer groups through food preparation and serving
• Oversee Seedworks and guests
• Ensure that food safe standards are met
• If there are no groups, assist staff and ensure meals are prepared
• Give tours to kitchen volunteer groups
• Communicate any needs and issues to kitchen manager
• Keep statistics on a daily basis

Shelter and Centre Street locations

Qualifications

• Mature with the ability to lead
• Consistent and reliable
• General computer knowledge
• Food safe, or the willingness to obtain it
• Assertive with appropriate boundaries

Hours

Downtown Hours
Monday - Sunday
9 am - 1 pm (lunch)
4 pm - 8 pm (supper)

Shelter Hours
Monday - Sunday
6 am - 8 am (breakfast)
10 am - 2 pm (lunch)
4 pm - 9 pm (Supper)

 

Additional Information

• You will be required to go through screening and an interview
• Complete a CPS Check and sign agreements regarding boundaries, confidentiality, photographic release, and our statement of faith
