The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for men, women, and children, experiencing poverty and homelessness since 1984. The Mustard Seed provides a supportive haven where we support the whole person through delivering basic services, housing, wellness services, employment programs, and partners with the community to address the root causes of poverty.

Funds raised through the Edmonton City Centre Christmas campaign will support winter gear that will be essential over the freezing winter months. This year, Edmonton City Centre is matching donations up to $10,000! So if you donate $50 at the link below, your donation will be doubled! This Christmas give the gift of hope.

We’re also accepting warm winter wear and hygiene items for our clients. Donations can be dropped off at Guest Services (Street Level) Edmonton City Centre or our Community Support Centre (10568 114 St NW)

It is estimated that 180 Edmontonions are becoming homeless each month. Currently there are approximately 2,000 people experiencing homelessness, with 600 sleeping outside or unsheltered on any given night. Due to the current health and economic crisis, our vulnerable populations are facing increased barriers this winter. We are calling on you to give the gift of hope this Christmas by donating towards essential winter gear.

Everything we do at The Mustard Seed is possible because of the support of people like you. Here at The Mustard Seed we’re asking you to think about our most vulnerable neighbours. As we launch the giving season, we’re asking you to have an open hand by providing a gift for a person experiencing homelessness. With the cold front creeping in and Christmas coming up, we are starting to make preparations to serve holiday meals and provide other vital services during the winter months to the homeless and hungry. With your help, The Mustard Seed can continue to give hope to people who are struggling with poverty and homelessness.
