Student Ministries Facilitator

Position Summary:
This Student Ministries Facilitator is responsible for the design, development and implementation of Student Ministry programming in collaboration with the Leadership Training & Support Manager. The staff will be key in facilitating youth educational events such as DemoCrew, CollegeCrew and DemoCrewPlunge. They will strategize with the Student Ministries team in how to mobilize both the church and the community in the important work of implementing our 'Housing Plus' initiatives (Relate/Rehouse/Rebuild) as they relate to Student Ministries. Providing clear, sensitive direction and leadership for volunteers is also integral to this position.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise Mustard Seed employees and volunteers to implement the DemoCrew programs;
- Plan and implement Student Ministries activities for youth;
- Promote the DemoCrew and CollegeCrew programs to youth pastors, colleges, and churches; liaise with leaders of groups attending DemoCrew programs;
- Jointly organize activities with external and internal resources;
- Deliver Student Ministries workshops and presentations, as needed; this will involve extensive public speaking and some preaching as well
- Support the Leadership Training & Support Manager in the program delivery of training and support of staff & volunteers.
Desired Qualifications & Experience :
- Ministry or related degree or diploma or equivalent experience;
- Youth ministry experience an asset;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point;
- Graphic design, video editing and related skills (related software programs knowledge an asset)
- Strong administrative skills required;
- Strong group facilitation skills;
- A self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional team;
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.

- This is a permanent part-time position located at our downtown location.
- Start date is ASAP.
- Work days and hours are flexible with evening and weekend flexibility a must
- Willingness to obtain a Class 4 drivers license
